Rear Suspension
(1) FK Drop Plate Kit
If you own a Late Bay Window Bus then this system is for you. Rear drop plates to suit Late Bay window Bus.
Laser cut from quality high tensile steel plate and then zinc coated, our FK Drop Plates will still look good for years to come.
With some easy drilling and cutting modification to your original spring plates, our bolt in plate system will provide a pre tensioned ride like factory.
Run wide rubber on the rear of your bus and get it down low with out completely dismantling the rear end of your bus to change a flat tyre.
Each kit comes with two drop plates, two cap spacers, fitting hardware and installation instructions.
Height settings
3” Raise, Stock Height, 3”, 6” and 9” drop from the factory height
Note: 3” Raise and 9” Drop will require additional vehicle modifications

MINIMAL USAGE
This Bay window big rear chassis notch set is the ideal solution providing the clearance for your IRS arms and axles if you are wanting to sit the stance of your kombi lower than 6 inches in the rear. Consisting of two cold forged then fully welded box section chassis notches with added upper shock mount brackets this kit will provide the travel clearance needed. We have designed these notches to make the install much easier by allowing the notch sections to be slipped up inside the original rails once the old chassis is cut and prepared Take the guess work out of designing your own notches and install one that follows the factory body work lines. Detailed fitting instructions are supplied with this kit. Fresh Kustoms recommends that the installer has good knowledge of welding equivalent to - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade Some modifications require engineering approval, please check the requirements in your State or Territory

The Late Bay rear chassis mini notch kit is the ideal solution providing the clearance for your IRS arms and axles if you are wanting to sit the stance of your kombi lower than 6 inches in the rear. Consisting of two cold forged chassis notch profiles and two profile matched strength fish plates, this kit will provide the travel clearance needed. Plug weld holes in both the fish plate and the notch profile provide additional bonding strength once welded in place. Take the guess work out of designing your own notches and install one that follows the factory chassis lines. Detailed fitting instructions are supplied with this kit. Fresh Kustoms recommends that the installer has good knowledge of welding equivalent to - Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade Some modifications require engineering approval, please check the requirements in your State or Territory

Fresh Kustoms Type 2 Narrowed and Adjustable Ball Joint beams are made from the finest materials.
Our tube is custom made from high grade steel then laser cut to ensure strength and accuracy.
Quality laser cut side plates in 10mm thickness with beam/chassis position mounting holes of stock location and 40mm raised (notching required) to the chassis for both split and bay chassis mounting hole configurations, these ball joint beams will fit any bus 55-79.
Each beam comes fitted with a pivot steering stop plate, brake booster bracket and steering damper mount.
Equipped with our new style Fresh Kustoms Beam Adjusters with long range tooth adjustment offering more adjustability than ever before you will get the stance of your car just where you want it.
What’s included;
Brand new Fresh Kustoms Premium Inner Composite Bushes (fibre outer with copper and teflon coated inner) to match the original factory produced bushes, this style of bush have lasted more than 50 years
Brand new outer needle roller bearings
Brand new Fresh Kustoms heavy duty steering pivot housing supplied with new steering pin assembly (pin bushes and seals supplied)
Brand new grease nipples
All beams are finished in satin black etch primer as standard with other coating options available in black powder coat or silver zinc electroplating at additional cost, you can choose these option.
All beams up to 4 inch narrowed have a one piece side plate and shock tower design.
All beams 5″ or narrower have the side plates mounted inside the chassis rails and the shock towers mounted outside of the chassis rails so these beams will have a two piece side plate/shock tower assembly (all necessary hardware supplied) these kits also come with the 40mm raised beam chassis notch weld in profile and lower shock offset plates this type of kit is perfect for running low with wide wheels on the front.

Convert your Type 2 Ball Joint Beam Yourself
This kit will provide an additional 40mm drop to the front of your type 2 bus while also providing 40mm more beam to ground clearance. This kit allows you to rework your original type 2 ball joint beam to make it adjustable and narrowed, the side plates have mounting holes to suit both bay window or split window chassis and allow mounting the beam assembly in two positions of standard or 40mm raised into the car allowing for more ground clearance, this kit also comes with a 4mm mild steel formed profile so the area above the top tube of the beam can have the chassis notched to allow the beam to be raised up 40mm Kit comes with two laser cut side plates to suit bay window ball joint style beam, two chassis notch profiles for the top tube area, two laser cut beam braces and two bus beam adjusters This kit requires welding to install and when mounted in the 40mm position will also require modifications to the selector shaft, heating duct, brake push rod, floor space above the brake booster and brake hard line brackets etc. Please refer to your local state or territory laws as chassis modification may require engineering approval
