Boot brake switch Rubber protective cap for the brake pressure contacts on your master cylinder. This came on most models from autumn 1966 onwards. We recommend using this on all single circuit brake systems to protect the connections of the brake pressure contact. This rubber is also used on dual circuit brake pressure contacts up to model year 1971 and on Bus until October 1969 (ch 229 061 567) and on the switches of the neutral safety and oil temperature on semi-automatic gearboxes on Beetle and Karmann Ghia.
